Besides the beach and the brightly painted fishing boats drawn up alongside it, the other thing which makes Salema really special is the quality and variety of the restaurants.
There really is something for everyone, from cosy beach-side bistros, right up to high-end dining for those special occasions.
There are seven within easy, level walking distance of the apartment, most of them serving fish landed that day by the village’s fishermen.
There is an ATM in the village and an excellent small supermarket in the apartment block. It stays open during the winter, but with shorter opening hours. There is a large supermarket, selling daily English newspapers, just up the road.
Salema boasts its own fish seller, a daily bread van, fresh fruit and veg, a small mini market, beach goods shops, arts and crafts in the season.

Many diverse restaurants and bars in menu and price within walking distance. No matter what time of year, there is always somewhere open, but limited in November/December.
